Sir Spectacles Saves the Summer Olympics
Ran out of time to include the story in the game itself, so get ready to read in your best internal radio announcer voice.
In the year 1894, Baron Pierre de Coubertin was inspired by the Ancient Greek Olympics to cerate an international championship of athleticism and sportsmanship. As he began to prepare for the event, he was approached by a mysterious sponsor by the name of Mr. Monocles, who had recently recovered from a nuclear incident that had fused him with his rival, Sir Spectacles.
Although he offered great sums of money, to the dismay of our good Baron, Mr. Monocles began to bribe or threaten competitors to quit, and bribed judges to give himself outrageous scores. It seemed the games were due to fail as public outrage grew.
However, soon the brave and dapper gentleman Sir Spectacles entered the competition. Could he beat Mr Monocles and put on a show good enough to save the Summer Olympics, or would the slimy sponsor swindle the spectators into submission?
There are three events. Beat the qualifying time to continue to the next event, and beat Mr Monocles at all three to save the Olympics!
